Founded by Avni Aggarwal in 2017, Sundarii Handmade is more than a clothing brand — it is a movement to revive India’s fading handicrafts and empower artisans. Built on the principles of sustainability, ethics, and heritage, Sundarii Handmade promotes crafts like Ajrakh, Dabu, Ikat, Bagru, and Bandhani, while ensuring artisans receive fair livelihoods and recognition for their unmatched skills.
The brand strictly follows a no-waste policy, upcycling scrap fabrics into scarves, wallets, and patchwork designs, reducing landfill contributions while creating trendy, eco-conscious products. With a clientele that spans continents, Sundarii Handmade has become a voice for slow fashion, encouraging consumers to choose quality over quantity and to embrace sustainable lifestyles.
Avni Aggarwal, a social worker turned entrepreneur, has made it her mission to spread awareness about sustainable fashion and create a household name for ethical clothing. Her passion and warmth have built a loyal community of customers who feel connected not just to the products, but to the artisans behind them.
The Founder
- Avni Aggarwal – An English Honours graduate from Delhi University and a Master’s in Social Work, Avni worked with NGOs to gain grassroots experience. Her exposure to hand block printing during this time sparked her curiosity and passion for crafts. Traveling to Gujarat and Rajasthan, she met artisans and witnessed their struggles firsthand. Moved by their plight, she founded Sundarii Handmade to uplift artisans, revive crafts, and promote sustainable fashion.

Avni is not only an entrepreneur but also a mother, wife, and advocate of minimalistic living. Her warmth and passion have built a loyal community of customers who feel like family.
