IPF: Where Parents Buy, Sell, and Empower Each Other

Parenting is one of life’s most rewarding journeys, but it also comes with challenges—especially when it comes to finding safe, affordable, and quality products for children. Many parents struggle to source reliable items, while others have perfectly good products sitting unused at home.

This simple observation led to the creation of the India Parenting Forum (IPF), founded by Priyadershita Singh and Abhas Mittal. IPF is now India’s most trusted peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace for kids’ products, connecting families across 400+ cities with secure, convenient, and sustainable transactions.

The Idea Behind IPF

The founders realized that there was a gap in the market: parents wanted affordable, quality products, but supply chains and retail often made them expensive or inaccessible. At the same time, many families had unused items—clothes, toys, books, strollers—that could benefit others.

IPF was designed to bridge this gap by creating a trusted marketplace where parents could buy and sell directly to each other, ensuring affordability, sustainability, and community-driven support.

The Founders’ Vision

  • Priyadershita Singh – With over a decade of experience leading growth at consumer platforms in e-commerce, ed-tech, and content, Priya drives IPF’s overall strategy and product direction. Her passion for sustainable living and her deep understanding of parent communities guide the platform’s mission to empower families across India.
  • Abhas Mittal – With more than 10 years of experience building user-first products and leading high-impact tech teams, Abhas ensures IPF’s platform is secure, reliable, and intuitive. His belief that technology can solve real-world problems for Indian families at scale drives the innovation behind IPF.

The two met during their undergraduate program at IIT Roorkee in 2011. Years of friendship and complementary skills united them in a shared vision: to revolutionize how Indian parents buy and sell kids’ products, leveraging technology to empower families.

Growth and Impact

What started as a small community in one city has now grown into a nationwide platform, serving families across 400+ cities. IPF has become a trusted name by focusing on:

  • Safety and Security – Verified users and secure transactions.
  • Convenience – Easy-to-use platform for buying and selling.
  • Affordability – Quality products at lower costs.
  • Sustainability – Encouraging reuse and reducing waste.

By connecting parents directly, IPF not only saves money but also builds a community of trust and shared responsibility.

What Makes IPF Unique

Unlike traditional marketplaces, IPF is community-first. Its uniqueness lies in:

  • Peer-to-Peer Model – Parents helping parents.
  • Focus on Kids’ Products – Specialized marketplace for children’s needs.
  • Nationwide Reach – Families connected across 400+ cities.
  • Sustainability Mission – Promoting reuse and reducing consumer waste.

The Road Ahead

India Parenting Forum envisions becoming the go-to platform for every Indian parent, not just for buying and selling, but also for building a supportive parenting community. With continued innovation in technology and a strong focus on trust, IPF aims to expand its reach and impact even further.

Conclusion

The story of IPF is a testament to how simple ideas can create powerful change. By combining technology, sustainability, and community, Priyadershita Singh and Abhas Mittal have built a platform that empowers families, supports parents, and makes parenting just a little easier.
