UpKraft, an extracurricular learning startup, has successfully raised ₹1.6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by PedalStart. This milestone marks a significant step in the company’s journey to transform extracurricular education in India with a technology-first approach.
Founded by Tejasvi Singh Kushwah, Varun Mangal, and Kritika Varandani, UpKraft offers structured extracurricular learning programs delivered at homes, residential communities, and schools. The startup is addressing one of the most fragmented yet high-demand categories in Indian consumer education — extracurricular learning.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen UpKraft’s AI-powered learning platform, expand operations in Bengaluru and Gurugram, enhance technology and customer experience, and hire across multiple departments. This investment will accelerate the company’s mission to make extracurricular learning accessible, engaging, and impactful.
According to PedalStart co-founders Manas Pal and Aditya Darolia, “UpKraft is addressing one of the most fragmented, high-demand categories in Indian consumer education – extracurricular learning – with a genuine technology-first approach.” Their backing highlights confidence in UpKraft’s vision and execution.
UpKraft’s platform integrates AI-driven personalization to ensure that every learner receives tailored experiences, making extracurricular learning more effective and enjoyable. This innovation sets the company apart in a space traditionally dominated by offline, unstructured formats.
The startup’s focus on community-based learning also ensures that children can access programs within their neighborhoods, reducing barriers to participation and fostering collaborative growth.
With extracurricular activities increasingly recognized as essential for holistic development, UpKraft is positioning itself as a category leader in India’s evolving education landscape. Its structured, scalable model is designed to meet the needs of modern families and schools.
Looking ahead, UpKraft aims to expand its reach, refine its technology, and continue building a platform that empowers children to explore, learn, and grow beyond academics — shaping the future of extracurricular education in India.
