Deepak Baghel, an IIT Bombay graduate, first stepped into beekeeping in 2016 after realizing that pollination was the missing link in improving crop yields. His hands-on journey, filled with stings and struggles, earned him the nickname “IIT Honey Man.” His vision was simple yet powerful: save bees, support farmers, and restore trust in real food.

Soon after, Neha Rai joined him, bringing management expertise and a shared passion for impact. Together, they built Mielo Honey, a brand that stands for purity, ethics, and transformation. Every jar of Mielo is more than honey — it’s a promise of nature’s best, crafted with care and backed by science.

The name Mielo, derived from the Italian word for honey, reflects the brand’s values: nature’s purity, the hard work of bees, and the dedication of farmers. It symbolizes trust and transformation, making Mielo more than just a product — it’s a movement.

Headquartered in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Mielo has grown from humble beginnings to a DPIIT-certified company backed by IIT Indore’s ACE Foundation and IIM Ahmedabad’s CIIE Incubation. The startup has also pioneered India’s first IoT-based Beehive Monitoring System, taking honey production into the future with technology-driven precision.

Mielo’s journey is not just about honey; it’s about impact. By supporting pollination, the brand helps farmers improve yields, strengthens rural economies, and contributes to biodiversity conservation. Every hive is a step toward healthier crops and a more sustainable ecosystem.

In just a few years, Mielo has become a trusted name in India’s honey market, offering consumers a product free from adulteration and filled with authenticity. Its growth story is proof that conscious brands can thrive while staying true to their mission.

For Deepak and Neha, Mielo is more than business — it’s a calling. Every jar represents the buzzing fields of India, the resilience of farmers, and the tireless work of bees. With Mielo, consumers don’t just taste honey; they become part of a larger story of sustainability, purity, and transformation.
