Founded by Deeksha Senguttuvan in 2024, Hoola Health (previously BabyMD) is building an integrated child healthcare model that spans consultations, vaccinations, diagnostics, and developmental therapies. The Bengaluru-based startup has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners’s Surge, with participation from W Health Ventures and angel investors including Ashish Gupta, Abhishek Goyal, and Bijou Kurien.
In just 18 months, Hoola Health has served 20,000+ families through its five clinics in Bengaluru. The fresh capital will be used to expand into new markets, strengthen its technology platform, and scale operations. Over the next two years, Hoola plans to open 30 more clinics across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi NCR.
The idea for Hoola Health was born out of Deeksha’s close interactions with parents. She noticed that families were either navigating large hospitals with long waits and little personal connection, or relying on scattered, inconsistent care. This gap inspired her to create a model that makes paediatric care feel closer, calmer, and kinder.
Originally launched as BabyMD, the startup began with one clinic and a simple mission: to provide neighbourhood-based paediatric care that parents could trust. Today, Hoola Health offers a comprehensive range of services under one roof — from routine consultations and vaccinations to developmental assessments and therapy services.
Deeksha explains, “I wanted to build something that felt closer. A place where parents could walk in with a question — big or small — and feel heard. A place where doctors remembered your child’s name, and followed up without being asked. Where the care is not just clinical, but kind.”

This philosophy has shaped Hoola Health into a brand that prioritizes trust, accessibility, and empathy. Open seven days a week, the clinics are designed to be approachable and family-friendly, backed by a team that listens first and treats with heart.
The funding round marks a significant milestone for Hoola Health, positioning it as one of India’s most promising child healthcare startups. With its integrated model, strong investor backing, and ambitious expansion plans, the company is set to redefine how families experience paediatric care in India.
At its core, Hoola Health is more than a healthcare provider — it is a support system for parents. By combining medical expertise with empathy, the startup is building a future where child healthcare is not just about treatment, but about partnership, trust, and care that feels human.
